WHAT TO DO?

CARINTHIAN ADVENTURES NEAR YOU

Flattach is an ideal location for a truly memorable vacation with family or friends in any season. The village is situated in the proximity of the Molltal Glacier (71 kilometres of varied pistes), the Raggaschlucht and the Groppenstein Gorges. Mallnitz, the ‘Alpine Pearl’ or the cloud-covered peak of the Ankogel is also worth a visit. Molltal’s other extremely popular attractions are Falkenstein Castle, the Kreuzeck and Reißeck Funicular and the cable railway.

Carinthia has a lot to offer when it comes to hiking, rafting or enjoying one of the many open or covered pools and bathhouses (Obervallach, Mallnitz). Those who prefer the wild waters, can swim in the beautiful mountain streams. You can also explore the region on a bike or horseback.

If you choose the comfort of travelling by car, you can easily reach Austria’s highest peak, the Grossglockner from Flattach, you can wash gold in Heiligenblut, a reconstructed gold-digger settlement, or you can swim or row a boat in the lakes.

Carinthia offers endless opportunities for diverse activities: there are numerous adventure parks, museums, castles, zoos…

It might be a good idea to buy a Carinthia (Kärnten) Card: it is available online or at most tourist information centres and it allows you to visit more than 100 sights and places free.
